Kiln Shelf: This is a tray that slides into the bottom of the kiln. It holds clay pieces as they fire and makes it easier to slide them in and out before and after firing.

Kiln Furniture: Small square pieces of cordierite, these are used to prop up items in a kiln or stack kiln shelves to allow for air to circulate inside of the kiln.

Hot Pot: This looks similar to a potpourri pot and can only be used to fire small metal clay items formed with low-fire clay. Though the size and amount of items fired is limited, it is a good choice for beginners or those who just want to dabble with metal clay and are not ready to purchase a kiln.
